Job Duties

Job Requirements:

The ERP Business Process Architect will span all domains of change with principal emphasis on process in support of business transformation activities related to deployment locations. US citizenship required.

Experience:
* 10 years+ ERP-based supply chain or industrial operations management experience; SAP-based highly desired
* Comprehensive consulting and ERP education delivery skills with the ability to communicate at the client mid level management and end user level of the business
* Business process redesign and business transformation experience in large scale ERP deployments
* In-depth knowledge of ERP Industry Best Practices
* Extensive Supply Chain Management knowledge with focus on Demand Management, Master Scheduling, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Capacity Requirements Planning (CRP), Shop Floor Scheduling and Execution and Government Accounting and Finance
* Comprehensive experience with Business Process Change Methodologies
* Proficient in the use of MS Office applications
* Aerospace & Defense/Government experience desired, but not mandatory
* SAP ERP experience highly desired

Other Related Skills:

Architectural experience in large, complex ERP based integration programs

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not restricted to, the following:

Project Prep & Blueprint Phase:
* Participate in client Site Readiness Assessments, consolidate and document interview findings
* Conduct delivery of APICS courses (i.e. Fundamentals of Planning, Fundamentals of Inventory Control and Fundamentals of Manufacturing Control) to client Site Readiness Teams
* Provide management consulting and best practice guidance to the client Site Readiness Team in base-lining current operational and cost performance including communication of ERP best practice performance metrics & calculations
* Participate in defining and documenting industry best practice business processes to be used in the identification of gaps in the client Transformation Discovery Labs
* Participate in client Transformation Discovery Labs to assist in identifying business changes required to support successful ERP Deployment
* Provide guidance to client Site Readiness Teams identifying organizational issues, business risks and development of risk mitigation strategies
* Participate in the summarization of Transformation Discovery Lab findings
* Participate in the gap mitigation estimates

Realization and Go Live Phase:
* Lead scenario execution in client Business Transformation Prototype Labs
* Guide client Site Readiness Teams in the re-engineering of business processes and the re-definition of roles and responsibilities to support improved planning and execution performance
* Guide client Site Readiness Teams in development of business policies and revised operating procedures to support redesigned planning and execution processes
* Work with Training Team in revising existing training materials to support redesigned planning and execution business processes
* Work with client and Solution Development Team to ensure timely requirements definition to support design, development, testing and delivery of application deltas to support site rollout
* Provide post Go-Live support to client Site Readiness Teams

 

Skills/Knowledge

Critical Skills:

* The ability to define and develop complex architectural models at all levels of decomposition primarily for the process domain, using a variety of modeling tools
* Ability to deliver formal APICS / ERP education to client mid management and end users
* Experience in ERP (preferably SAP) implementation lifecycle methodology and tools
* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
* Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
* Ability to communicate with client mid management and end users
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and bureaucratic business culture
* Team Player with ability to work well with a diverse set of individuals at all organizational levels
* Able to run effective meetings/workshops
* Strong negotiation and conflict management skills
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced changing environment

Educational/Professional Affiliations:

* Bachelors degree required
* APICS certification required

Organizational Considerations for Good Job Fit:

* Primary work location on site at Ft. Monmouth, NJ with periodic visits to Marlton, NJ
