The EMP Production/Inventory Control Specialist performs various tasks in the area of production control and scheduling for the Engineered Molded Product (EMP) departments areas utilizing a working knowledge of MRP systems. Responsibilities include requirements analysis, preparation of production schedules, work order management, reporting on the use of materials, monitoring customer orders, and calculating production rates. In this role, he/she will act as the liaison between Manufacturing and Purchasing, Operations, Accounting, Customer Service and Engineering. This position works under the direction of the EMP Materials Manager.

Specific Tasks:
* Coordinate and facilitate EMP scheduling and work with the Customer Service Representatives to meet customer requirements.
* Building of MRP routing and bill of material for new parts and updating current routings as necessary.
* Optimization of scheduling system to meet inventory requirements as dictated by customer needs and Jamak management.
* Weekly cycle-counts on Materials, Components and Molded Products.
* Facilitation of quarterly physical inventory.
* Manage external vender production/inventory as needed.
* Development of system to evaluate scheduling efficiency and effectiveness.
* Continuous evaluation of minimum / optimum run affects on cost of parts.
* Develop solid back-up for your position.
* Work closely with Purchasing to better coordinate raw material/component
* Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years scheduling, inventory and manufacturing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Working knowledge of MRP systems and master scheduling
* Strong working knowledge of Micro Soft applications (particularly Excel)
* Working knowledge of AS400 is preferred
* Strong oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and superior organizational abilities.
* Exceptional multitasking skills.
* Ability to analyze situations and get to the bottom of issues to insure that the correct solution is reached.
* Must possess and demonstrate a positive Can Do attitude.
* Ability to react to customer demands to minimize negative inventory affects.
* APICS Certification is a plus.
