Company Information/Job Description
NuSil Technology is a specialty silicones manufacturing company seeking a manufacturing/production supervisor to oversee all batch operations activities ranging from raw material receipts through conversion and shipping of finished goods. This person will directly supervise 10-15 employees within our Texas manufacturing facility.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Operations
Management or similar field preferred. Either APICS CPIM or ASQ CQE certified,
or both, would satisfy the educational requirements.
Must have minimum 2 yrs experience in supervision of production employees in a
manufacturing environment with strong inventory control background.
The ability to effectively train operators on equipment, processes and
procedures.
This person should be able to easily assume equipment ownership role in
ensuring that all equipment is running properly and is being operated correctly.
This includes scheduling repairs and knowing when it may be necessary to remove
from service. This equipment includes large scale compound mixers, small
laboratory instruments, various types of pumps and filter assemblies, reactors,
lift trucks, etc.
The ability to lead and motivate staff
Knowledge of OSHA, NFPC, HazWoper, other governmental regulatory requirements
(e.g. 21 CFR Part 820, cGMP, ISO, FDA, etc.)
Good problem solving skills. Understanding of SPC and the ability to implement
appropriate metrics and monitoring. Experience with successful continuous
quality improvement implementations and Lean Initiatives are a plus.
Working knowledge of all functions within a typical business supply chain as
this position will include full-scope responsibility including shipping,
receiving, order procurement/purchasing, scheduling and execution.
Computer proficiency in MS Excel and Word. Also, experience with ERP platform
helpful.
Well developed verbal and written communication skills
