Lead and direct all facets of supply chain management including, but not limited to, procurement, material forecasting, logistics, inventory control and warehousing. This position has the overall responsibility and accountability to establish a world-class integrated system that meets business/customer requirements, minimizes total supply chain cost and maximizes supply chain effectiveness. Position must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative style of working with all groups to accomplish shared goals and objectives.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Establish / maintain policies and procedures for effective internal controls over the physical product flow including procurement, receiving, shipping, warehousing and other inventory areas;
Direct the activities of employees engaged in all aspects of Procurement, Inventory Management, and vendor relations.
Coordinate communication with Sales, Operations, Accounting, and other impacted departments;
Balance requirements of customer service with cost to maximize EBITDA;
Ensure on-time product ordering and delivery.
Develop programs to minimize and promote profitable disposition of slow moving, obsolete inventory;
Implement processes to minimize lower of cost or market impacts.
Oversee the scheduling and quality performance of physical inventories;
Ensure adequate inventory of product in accord with inventory cycles;
Identify and implement processes to increase the efficiency of inventory control and procurement personnel;
Coordinate with Human Resources on all
policy related and staffing issues.
Job Qualifications
Degree in Business, Logistics, Distribution, Purchasing and/or Systems or the equivalent is required.
A minimum of 20 years management experience in Supply Management is required, preferably in the telecommunication business.
Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted upon discretion of Management.
Effective organizational skills in handling multiple priorities and meeting required deadlines in a fast paced, high growth environment.
Well-developed interpersonal skills for effective management.
Must possess solid business judgment and demonstrate analytical, financial modeling, negotiating, and problem solving skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability and willingness to travel 25%.
